The Bus Level

Another part of Flux Aura, this "phenomenon" is installed on 2 buses, on the routes that happen to stop near our house... The level of the water inside the window indicates the flow of the river, alongside which the bus route passes.

You probably can't read the description, so here it is again:

...and there's more info here, too!

You might recognise these first two pictures from a couple of weeks ago when I joined in making these flowerdrops at Aboa Vetus. Well, now the project is finished and the flowerdrops are on the Theatre Bridge.

That's my little flame of Turku, orange, at the top!

The flowers, bees, flames and other shapes are all made from "mehukatti" juice bottles. cut out, assembled (in some cases) then cable-tied to the wire frame. Simple, effective and eye-catching.

Toilet Culture!

The Culture Corner Cafe doesn't waste any opportunity to promote culture!
Even Monkey noticed these little quotes!
not sure what this originally said, part of it has disappeared

Random Culture part 6

"Fresh and original observations, experiences and comments on the symbiosis of the city, and the river that runs through it, will form the core of the International environmental art event, Flux Aura. This is all about artistic experiences within the urban environment. Several artworks will be created on the River Aura, its river banks and the surrounding areas."
Quoted from the City of Culture Website

Today's Random Culture items are both part of Flux Aura, as were the ducks before.
